The human body is made up mostly of water. Water helps to flush out toxins from your systems. It keeps organs, including the skin lubricated and functioning properly. Even mild dehydration causes fatigue, headaches, and make you more susceptible to illness.

Are you thirsty? If you are often feeling thirsty then you probably are in a mild dehydration. Drinking more water will definitely benefit you. On the other hand if your thirst is usually quenched you are on the right track.
What color is your urine? This may seem like an odd question, but if your urine is dark you are not getting enough water. Having enough water in your system will turn your urine lighter, almost clear and you will need to go more frequently.
How do you feel? One of the first signs of mild dehydration is fatigue. If you are tired it might not be that you need more sleep, but that you need more water!
